We would like to thank Dallas Coplin with KUB for speaking to the LEPC and providing breakfast.
KUB has four divisions - Safety, Environmental, Natural Gas and Security
The Natural Gas is made up of 65-95% methane an d 2-15% ethanol - The
odorant that is added is highly regulated and tested. Without it the
gas is odorless, colorless, tasteless and nontoxic.
811 is a nationwide number to call before digging. in 2014 there were
325 dig-ins and 323 is 2015. Even with mark and cut. If a homeowner
suspects a leak, KUB recommends that you just leave. Don't worry about
turning things off or on, don't start your car or use the phone. Leave
the area and THEN call 911 and KUB.
